Forever 21 & Vintage inspired Fashion

I know I usually discuss real vintage and Audrey Hepburn. However, today I will discuss vintage influenced clothing. First, as we all know high waist clothing is back! And I am more than glad. I love, love, love high waist shorts and pants. Anyways, one of my favorite stores (don’t judge me) is Forever 21.

Forever 21 offers a variety of styles and one of them is vintage inspired clothing. Now, I love vintage inspired clothing probably because I love vintage but regardless, I always buy things from them. However, they do have a bunch of modern stuff I fall in love with.

Apart from vintage, an alternative look I love is the ‘oxford prep look’, which Gossip Girl happened to have adopted. If you would like to read more about the Gossip Girl’s designer Lorrick New York I have a post about her. Forever 21 also have this look perfectly designed.

12 by 12 is a line sold in Forever 21 stores. The reason for the name is literal: 12 is 21 backwards and this line is designed by 12 designers. Twelve by Twelve has amazing accessories and clothing designed carefully in the company of a trace of vintage feel. It is a higher priced line by about 35% however, it is not expensive by any means, all designs are under $100. It is more sophisticated and lux than the other lines forever 21 offers. The 12 designers involved in Twelve by Twelve aim for the 20’s to 50’s era. Twelve by Twelve has gorgeous cocktail dresses, stunning faux-fur-coats, and beautiful accessories.
